Golden Bazaar Hotel is a place where individuals of different races, languages, genders, worship practices, skin colors, sexual orientations, nationalities, beliefs, disabilities, ages, and views work together in harmony. Any form of discrimination and/or harassment by any employee, manager, consultant, guest, student, invitee, supplier of goods and services, or non-employee of the institution is unacceptable. The hotel respects the individual rights and cultural differences of its employees. Any behavior that constitutes direct or indirect discrimination or harassment is strictly prohibited.
The aforementioned behaviors include:
- Any verbal, physical, or sexual approach that is not approved by the other party, unjustifiable physical contact, propositions, or touching.
- Comments about a person’s race, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other characteristic related to their personal appearance, body, or lifestyle.
- Statements or threats that imply, associate, or logically lead to the implication that an employee’s employment status, promotion potential, salary, or performance is linked to their compliance with sexual harassment.
- Displaying obscene or discriminatory graphics, cartoons, pictures, or photographs in the workplace related to race, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other personal characteristic.
- Explicit stories, jokes, innuendos, or comments related to race, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other personal characteristic.
- Golden Bazaar Hotel prohibits any emotional and/or physical relationship between any employee and another employee or manager that goes beyond the professional relationship and results in favoritism. Attempting such a relationship, expressing intent, or engaging in behavior that could be interpreted as such is also prohibited.
- Verbal attacks.
- Mobbing (bullying): Unjustified accusations, humiliations, general harassment, or emotional abuse directed at a specific individual by a group.
Retaliation
No employee, job applicant, or any individual shall be subjected to restriction, interference, coercion, or retaliation for seeking counseling regarding a sexual harassment issue, filing a sexual harassment complaint, or participating as a witness or panel member in a sexual harassment investigation, provided it is done in good faith. Retaliatory actions are considered a violation of the hotel’s harassment policy and will be dealt with accordingly. Malicious and unfounded accusations will result in disciplinary action under the Disciplinary Regulations.
Malicious and Unfounded Accusations
Individuals found to have made malicious and false accusations will be subject to investigation under the Disciplinary Regulations.
